Medcor is looking to hire an EMT or Paramedic on a PRN (as-needed) basis to serve as an Onsite Health Technician in our employer-based occupational health clinic in Harvard, IL.

This is a great opportunity for an EMT or Paramedic who wants to use their clinical skills outside of a traditional ambulance, fire, or emergency department setting while picking up occasional additional shifts.

Please note: This is a PRN/as-needed position with no guaranteed hours. The clinic typically operates Monday through Friday from 10:00am–7:00pm, with occasional flexibility needed based on clinic coverage. If you have availability to pick up occasional shifts, we encourage you to apply.

In this role, you'll provide first aid, triage, and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses while supporting employee health and wellness. You'll also partner with Medcor leadership, client staff, and outside medical providers to help employees receive appropriate care and safely return to work.

A Typical Day in the Life of a Medcor Onsite Health Technician

Clinical Care & Injury Management

• Provide first aid, triage, assessment, and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses

• Evaluate injured employees and guide care using Medcor's evidence-based treatment protocols

• Respond to workplace medical situations and coordinate additional care when appropriate

• Support workers' compensation case management

• Assist with Return-to-Work (RTW) programs and treatment plan monitoring

• Coordinate with outside medical providers when additional care is needed

• Support employee health and wellness initiatives

Clinic Operations

• Support daily operations of Medcor's onsite occupational health clinic

• Maintain accurate medical documentation and charting using electronic medical records

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees and client stakeholders

• Build and maintain strong relationships with the onsite team

• Support established clinical and operational processes

• Complete case management and other clinic responsibilities as needed

What You'll Need

• Current EMT or Paramedic certification/licensure applicable to the position

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Ability to work independently with strong time-management and organizational skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records, and other technology

• Ability to lift a 50-pound emergency response bag

• A positive, professional, and patient-focused approach

• Availability to pick up occasional PRN shifts

It's a Plus If You Have

• Occupational health or worksite clinic experience

• Emergency medicine, EMS, urgent care, or critical care experience

• Workers' compensation or case management experience

• Experience working independently in a clinical environment

• Flexible weekday availability
