Registered Nurse (Clinic Manager)

Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 6:30am–3:00pm

  • Wednesday: 5:00am–1:30pm

Medcor is looking to hire a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in an employer-based occupational health clinic in Lithonia, GA.

If you’re an RN looking to step away from the traditional hospital environment while still using your clinical skills every day, this is a great opportunity to transition into occupational health. You’ll work directly with employees at the worksite, providing injury and illness care, supporting workplace health and wellness initiatives, and serving as a trusted clinical resource for employees and our client.

What You’ll Do

As an onsite Registered Nurse with Medcor, you’ll work independently while having the support of Medcor’s clinical and operations teams. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide onsite nursing care, including first aid, evaluation, and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses within your scope of practice and Medcor protocols

  • Perform clinical triage and determine appropriate treatment, referral, transportation, and follow-up care

  • Serve as a trusted healthcare resource for employees at the worksite

  • Collaborate with client leadership, Human Resources, Environmental Health & Safety, Security, and other onsite partners

  • Perform employment and occupational health screenings in accordance with client policies, including post-accident and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing

  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation in accordance with applicable state, federal, OSHA, workers’ compensation, and ADA requirements

  • Participate in employee health, wellness, and safety initiatives such as biometric screenings, blood glucose testing, education, and other workplace health programs

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted Georgia RN license

  • At least 1–2 years of nursing experience

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Emergency Room, Urgent Care, or other acute-care experience

  • Previous occupational health experience

  • Knowledge of workers’ compensation, workplace safety, and incident reporting

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

  • Flexibility to provide coverage at a second nearby site when needed

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the scheduled shift

  • Lifting, carrying, and moving a medical jump bag/backpack weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Climbing stairs while carrying medical equipment

  • Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) on production floors, which may include bump caps, steel-toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, high-visibility vests, and hearing protection

  • Hearing and speaking clearly to communicate with patients, employees, and staff and while using medical equipment such as a stethoscope
