Manager, Worksite Field Operations

Medcor is looking to hire a Worksite Field Operations Manager to work with our Operations Team to assist in managing numerous on-site health and wellness clinics at various locations throughout California. Eligible candidates must have an active EMT, Paramedic, LVN, or RN licensure.

Candidates for this position must reside in California. The majority of clinics are located in Southern CA.

This is a Full-Time position, working Monday – Friday with some evening and weekend hours.

The Manager of Worksite Field Operations provides onsite and remote operational support in the delivery of Medcor Workplace Health Management services at assigned client worksites and leads and supervises clinical staff at multiple locations. The position serves as a resource and liaison for the administration and continuous improvement of occupational health and wellness programs including the support and execution of client practices and driving high client satisfaction and long-term retention. Extensive travel is expected in this role and will vary depending on training and coverage needs.

The salary for this position is Starting from $72,500, with increased compensation potential based on experience.

A typical day in the life in this role...

  • Conduct onsite and remote training to new and existing Medcor advocates. Provide both operational and clinical training in collaboration with training and clinical affairs department.

  • Manage training curriculum needs of the client. Maintain documentation of performed training.

  • Contribute to the development and administration of various training programs. Analyze and provide solutions to possible gaps in current programs and operations and establish a consistent, repeatable, and teachable approach.

  • Monitor quality audit expectations by conducting regular quality reviews and ensure expectations of excellent or better are met.

  • Collaborate and work with cross-functional partners, including onsite client department managers, human resources, environmental health & safety, and security to ensure the integration and coordination of services are consistent with standardized operations, Medcor patient care guidelines and client policies and procedures.

  • Develop effective relationships with client management team within scope and anticipate needs, identify solution, and support long-term successful client partnership.

  • Apply knowledge of clinical occupational health as well as knowledge of regulations impacting the work environment (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA). Stay current with healthcare industry regulations and standards to ensure the organization remains in compliance.

  • Ensure client coverage needs are routinely met and work with onsite clinic manager to determine if appropriate resources are in place in the event of coverage gaps or request from client to increased onsite support.

  • Collaborate and work closely with internal departments to share information and improve the quality of our clinic services and resolve issues. Partner with clinical affairs to ensure clinical vision and objectives are met.

  • Assist in recruitment and selection process including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new hires.

  • Institute and attend regular staff and operations management meetings. Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Travel requirement of up to 85%.

Onsite Coverage Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform workplace employment screening per client policy and procedure such as conducting hearing tests, administering drug and alcohol screening for post offer, post-accident, and DOT requirements, and coordinating post offer physicals and DOT required physician in collaboration with onsite human resources.

  • Facilitate and manage workers compensation cases in conjunction with third party administrator. Evaluate, administer, and monitor both occupational and non-occupational transitional duties and return work programs.

  • Promote and coordinate employee health/wellness and safety related programs and events such as health fairs, blood drives, flu shots, biometric screenings, and other health management related initiatives.

  • Manage OSHA recordkeeping, workers compensation and leave of absence activities and maintain electronic medical record documentation. Ensure records comply with State, Federal and OSHA, workers compensation and ADA regulations.

  • Ensure maintenance and upkeep of onsite clinic and inventory control.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage the performance of assigned team member(s) including identifying strengths and opportunities of team member’s performance, skills, and knowledge. Responsible for providing coaching and regular feedback through regular 1:1 meetings and semi-annual and annual performance appraisals.

  • Deliver corrective measures related to performance and attendance deficiencies and maintain appropriate documentation. Partner with human resources on employee matters as needed.

  • Schedule and facilitate individual and/or team meetings to promote engagement, share best practices, provide important updates, and ensure team member is well supported.

  • Responsible for team member training and facilitating ongoing operational excellence and organizational learning. Assist management with the development of new and updated training material and facilitate training as needed.

You must meet the following criteria to be considered for this role:

  • Must have an active EMT, Paramedic, LVN, or RN licensure

  • Have a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting with supervisor experience as part of that background.

The most qualified candidate will also have....

  • 3-5+ years of clinical supervisory experience.

  • Occupational health and/or employee health experience and knowledge of health and safety concepts.

  • Workers’ Compensation and occupational health/medical record software experience and safety event reporting experience.

  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and local certification/license requirements.

  • Understanding of healthcare and clinic operations. Ability to handle confidential information.

  • Exceptional communication, attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other database applications).

  • Team player with ability to communicate across multiple levels and build effective relationships.

While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly required to:

  • Talk and hear, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle, or feel. Must be able to safely lift patients.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

  • The Associate works in an occupational health clinic environment. The specific environment is generally quiet but may vary based on worksite location.
