We are seeking a Paralegal to assist our Legal & Compliance Team in a hybrid work environment. This role requires working up to three days per week at our corporate office in McHenry, IL, with the remainder of the week remote. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST.

Job Summary
As a Medcor Paralegal, you will work closely with and provide legal support services to our in-house Legal & Compliance Department and internal staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our legal processes. You will perform and coordinate corporate law, regulatory, litigation, and compliance-related activities under the supervision of the General Counsel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of customer, vendor, and employment contracts.
Handle and support highly sensitive legal and compliance matters.
Perform daily administrative tasks and maintain internal legal records.
Assist with corporate document management, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
Manage electronic contracting systems.
Maintain corporate minutes, registrations, and company entity reports.
Assist with litigation management, including drafting pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
Support the compliance program, including credentialing company advocates.
Assist with medical record requests/subpoenas and ensure accurate scanning and saving of records into company systems.
Oversee litigation discovery using corporate systems and coordinate with outside counsel.
Manage special projects and other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
License/Certification:
Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
Experience:
2-3 years of related experience, preferably in an in-house healthcare company or litigation law firm.
Skills & Competencies
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other database applications.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) across multiple platforms.
Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
Ability to proofread legal documents for grammar, typographical errors, and citations.
Effective time management and ability to handle multiple priorities.
Ability to maintain high-speed internet in compliance with company specifications (for remote or hybrid work).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate.
Experience in an in-house healthcare company or litigation firm.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position (50% of the time) to operate a computer and office equipment.
Occasionally lift and move up to 10 pounds.
Ability to use hands/fingers to operate a computer, mobile phone, and office equipment.
Ability to move throughout the office (onsite or remote) to retrieve documents, open cabinets, and perform job-related tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and exchange accurate information.
Ability to observe details and analyze reports/data.
Working Conditions
Work environment may be onsite, hybrid, or remote, with noise conditions varying from moderate to quiet.
Remote employees must have a dedicated private workspace and maintain high-speed internet per IT requirements.
