Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Medcor is looking to hire a Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LPA, LPC, LCPC) to provide mental health services to employee-clients at their worksite in Normal, IL. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for this role to provide services at the client’s onsite clinic caring for employee-clients on a Full-Time basis. This is a 40 hour per week position with flexibility in the hours and days worked.

The Licensed Therapist would meet with employee-clients to identify and treat mental health issues. Additionally, they will provide support and counselling for relationship issues, work issues, stressors, and life changes. Through observation and evaluations, they will diagnose any existing or potential disorders, if present. Then, together with the client, the licensed therapist would formulate a treatment plan according to the client’s needs. They would meet on a regular or as needed basis with employee-clients to ensure that their mental health needs are met and improving.

Day to day responsibilities

  • Support and counsel employee-clients around relationship issues, work issues, stressors, and life changes
  • Identify and diagnose psychological, emotional or behavioral issues
  • Develop and implement treatment plans and therapeutic processes
  • Help clients define goals and plan action to achieve personal, social, educational and vocational development and adjustment
  • Monitor client progress through regular meetings or sessions
  • Refer to community resources as required
  • Work with onsite clinic providers (physician assistant, nurse practitioner, physician) to support employee-patients and their needs

You Must

  • Have one of the following licenses:
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
    • Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA)
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
    • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mental Health Specialist
  • Have strong computer and other technology skills (navigate cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc)
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office, Including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Possess excellent verbal / written communication skills
  • Strong active listening skills, critical thinking, judgment and decision-making skills
  • Have a positive and outgoing personality
  • Be willing to go above and beyond just because that’s who you are
  • Be passionate about people and giving them the best care humanly possible
  • Be comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment
