As part of our team, you'll support the health and well-being of employees in a large manufacturing environment while gaining experience in workplace injury management, medical surveillance programs, OSHA-related processes, and preventive health services. Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30
Position Type: Full-Time
A typical day in the life of at a Medcor Occupational Health Clinic:
Assist clinic staff with daily administrative and operational duties to support efficient clinic workflow.
Perform general administrative and reception duties including greeting and checking in patients, answering and routing phone calls, scheduling appointments, maintaining records, responding to inquiries, and ensuring a professional and welcoming clinic environment.
Participate in occupational health training and certification programs as required. Following certification, support occupational health initiatives including medical surveillance testing, hearing conservation, and respiratory protection.
Monitor inventory levels and maintain adequate stock of medical supplies, office supplies, and equipment.
Restock examination rooms and clinic areas to ensure readiness for patient care.
Assist with filing, scanning, and maintaining confidential employee health records in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with employees, client representatives, and clinic team members.
Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with employees, visitors, and clients.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinic environment.
Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic and client needs.
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience in a healthcare setting required (e.g., clinic, hospital, occupational health, urgent care, or physician office).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
This position is based in an onsite occupational health clinic located within a large manufacturing facility. The RN will work independently while receiving support from Medcor leadership and clinical resources remotely. The role requires interaction with employees, safety professionals, human resources personnel, and external healthcare providers to promote a safe and healthy workplace.
