Medcor is looking to hire a Registered Nurse on a PRN basis (as-needed) to be an Onsite Health Nurse in our employer based, occupational health clinic in Rialto, CA. The clinic operates 24/7 with multiple shift scheduled available. The Onsite Health & Wellness Technician plays a critical role in delivering Medcor's Workplace Health Management services by performing onsite nursing services related to injury and illness evaluation and treatment at assigned client worksite. The role serves as a resource, point of contact and liaison for the administration and continuous improvement of health and wellness programs for our valued customers.

The hours of the clinic are as follows:

Saturday & Sunday: 7:00am - 7:00pm; 7:00pm - 7:00am

Monday - Friday:

7:00am - 3:00pm; 3:00pm - 11:00pm; 11:00pm - 7:00am

Pay Range: $41 - $48 based upon work experience.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide safe nursing care services, emergency (first-aid) evaluation and treatment to onsite employees within scope of practice and according to standard operation procedures and protocols.
• Exercise proper medical triage in evaluating severity, treatment, disposition, referral and transportation.
• Provide advice and counsel to Medcor staff including onsite Clinic Manager, EMT and Paramedics.
• Monitor work-related illness and injury trend and help to reduce lost time for occupational injuries/illness and facilitating return to work.
• Manage OSHA recordkeeping, workers compensation and leave of absence activities and maintain electronic medical record documentation. Ensure records comply with State, Federal and OSHA, workers compensation and ADA regulations.
• Provide coverage for the Clinic Manager in their absence.

Collaborate and work with cross-functional partners, including onsite client department managers, human resources, environmental health & safety and security to ensure the integration and coordination of services are consistent with standardized operations, Medcor patient care guidelines and client policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Nursing or Registered Nurse Diploma
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid Registered Nursing License
• 2 years nursing experience

Desired Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• CPR, PALS, ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in occupational health setting.
• Knowledge of Worker's Compensation, Safety Event reporting and health and safety concepts and protocols.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

• Frequent sitting, standing and walking for the duration of a scheduled work shift, as well as, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, bending down, stooping and reaching to lift or transport items/objects.
• Frequent lifting, moving and climbing stairs with a 50lb. jump bag/backpack.
• Safely lifting or moving a patient and assisting with ambulation.
• The work environment is characteristic of an onsite occupational clinic. Noise conditions vary depending on facility from moderate noise to noisy condition and potential exposure to extreme temperatures.
