The Training Content Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging online courses and training programs that support Medcor’s training and educational objectives. This role will collaborate with subject matter experts to create impactful learning experiences that enhance knowledge retention and improve learner outcomes, in a variety of formats, including e-learning modules, instructor led training, job aids, and videos.
This position is hybrid and located in Illinois or SE Wisconsin.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Design and develop interactive e-learning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar tools.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to analyze learning needs and develop course content that meets educational objectives.
Create engaging multimedia elements, including graphics, animations, and audio to enhance the learning experience.
Partner with SMEs, instructional designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, create storyboards, and develop content outlines.
Ensure content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with instructional design best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to e-learning content and course functionality.
Integrate learning activities, scenarios, and simulations to encourage active learning and knowledge retention.
Create assessments and evaluations to measure learner progress and effectiveness of training programs.
Conduct pilot coordination, testing, solution packaging/publishing, and technical troubleshooting.
Develop and deploy interactive/multimedia SCORM learning activities in the LMS.
Design and develop instructional material and courses using established methodologies.
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in e-learning and make recommendations for improvements.
Integrate learning activities, scenarios, and simulations to encourage active learning and knowledge retention.
Provide support and training to instructors and learners on the use of e-learning platforms and tools.
Analyze learner feedback and performance data to improve training materials, while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance learning.
Serve as producer for virtual classroom sessions.
Additional duties, tasks and project as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Associate’s degree/ Certification in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Educational Technology, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
Experience:
Proven experience in e-learning development, with a portfolio showcasing completed projects.
Expertise in instructional design with a thorough knowledge of adult learning concepts.
Expertise in instructional tools and technologies, including:
Articulate Storyline 360
Adobe Captivate
Graphic editing tools
SCORM
ADP LMS or similar
5 years of instructional design and development experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field.
Educational background in adult learning, human capital, or business consulting.
Certification in e-learning design, instructional technology, or related field.
Experience:
Previous experience working in healthcare or occupational healthcare.
Experience with integrating AI into learning solutions.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong creative thinking with the ability to use influence to sell ideas.
Ability to leverage different learning tools and technologies to design and develop courses in the most efficient and effective manner.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and relate well to others.
Excellent time management skills with ability to independently prioritize projects.
Proficiency in developing multimedia content, including audio, video, and interactive elements.
Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain in a stationary position 95% of the time to operate a computer and or other office equipment such as printer, scanner, copy machine, and telecommunication devices and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds of weight.
Ability to use hands/fingers to handle or feel, reach, operate computer, mobile phone and office equipment.
Ability to move throughout the office (onsite or remote) to move documents, files, open cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
The position communicates constantly with staff and requires the ability to communicate information or ideas that others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) to identify, detect and recognize issues while creating and analyzing reports and data.
Working Conditions:
The work environment is characteristic of onsite, hybrid or remote. Noise conditions may vary from moderate to generally quiet.
When working remote, employee must have a room with a door that can close for privacy and must maintain high-speed internet based on IT requirements.
